Poetry

Bloom
David Welper

Spaces are tulips and you water them.
They're delicate and grow, calm you.

There are roses in your door.
You become emotional.
People who do not know you come inside.
They become emotional as well,
yelling about water damage.

You leave, sit at the side of the road
with a gun in your hand.
