                         Ophelia to Lizzie1

                 on                , chilled

                                                my proposed economy of petals

        I studied                                               horizontally
                                    across my
                        into                                                        cleft
                                                    representation
     breasts, more gray under water






1Ophelia throws her voice, blurred the edges of the canal of sound. She sanded them down, around.  She floats. She said, "flower." Once, this time. Her hand curves around a bell handle.
