An Experiment in Courage
Ann Pelletier

suppose we do not fall after declining

suppose a slow but extraordinary recovery

a practice of passing over into other lives

a standing outside ourselves

the trick is: someplace to put all the shit
                   somewhere to hide the honey

but I still think we should know where

all the visible and invisible

the door closes behind us and we are alone

the results have not been heartening
